Rankin and Make-up

I had a break from researching for face make-up fashion shoots, and then I remembered my trusty inspiration in the industry - Rankin. I remember looking at some of his stuff a while back and I came across some super images of close cropped face make-up shots and they were so vivid and vibrant in colour.


I got a bit excited and have added lots of his images because they are a good source of inspiration for the final shoot.

Although this is a common studio shot and this lighting is seen often, the shadow on image is dramatic and works well.

There is a sense of motion to these images, which is nicely created with some motion, either with a slower shutter on the camera or in post production, yet it still works. the colours are consistent to.
